queensland sharks and eagle ray dominate

went out for another try at the tailor but was greeted with shark and eagle rays instead of the tailor they were smashing the bait hard in the shallows we tryed to hook up but nuthin ah well theres still alot of bait fish schooling up round the seaway so theres still hpe for the next few days ...

Wow, never hooked an eagle ray but apparently they go really hard.

Would have been a pretty cool sight to see.

Yeah it was at the seaway, yoyo. Macca called me this evening and told me that him and his old man went out for another crack at the tailor but the sharkys were on the scene. Reckons they were crusing round the boat for a bit and that some were pushing towards the 2m mark :dry:

yeah there was a guy just up from us that hooked a eagle ray he was on it for 15minutes or so but busted him off in the end

probably just behind seaworld (surf side) and plan to kayak out the baits. Will have to wait for the swell to die down a bit though.
