Just wondering if anyone else was out at Brennans shoal on saturday and happened to see the pod of whales playing around? It was spectacular and humbling. Also just wondering if anyone is a regular of brennans and has a bit of experience with the place to pass on some tips etc and things to be wary of.

ta.

off the cape of moreton near roberts shoal uglyfish. it fishes well at times.

Zeppelin if you can be bothered traveling just a little further south and out wide off moreton about 3km there are some great grounds for snapper called round patch and sqare patch. or just off the coffe rock half way down the eastern side of moreton in the troths it is really good troling for GT's mackeral and broadbills. There is a FAD out the east of these rocks which holds mahimahi and AJ's. pretty much what Iam trying to say is if it isn't firing at one spot keep targrting differant areas until it does. But select grounds that are close together yet hold differant fish due to the differant structure that is in the imideate area.

Never done any good at Brennan's but never seriously tried either. We regularly fish at shallow tempest about 6km to the south and do well.

The best bet for any of the shalower reefs is to floaline snelled pillies or other baitfish with as little weight as possible. Don't bother using patternoster rigs as its usually a waste of time and you will only catch little reef fish and stuff.
