just an obsevation but thats the third time ive seen that style and colour lure in a threadys mouth this month!

do you see/look for fish on your sounder or do you just try the good/well known thready spots?

Ian I think youll find Pinkey is land based which makes the captures even cooler in my opinion.

The river threddies prefer the natural colours, its quiet likely they are cannibals because that lure colour looks like a baby threddy!

The robzams are about to come out in a range of made for the river colours to make things more interesting.

f_h, that jackall is the gun bass colour in most of the dams.

i honestly dont think colour makes a shade of difference to threadies, sight is so far down the list of their hunting tools and i've never noticed an increase in bites on any one colour when it comes to threadfin fishing

Thanks guys did an early morn boat run this time, but can't wait to try some of these lures landbased where ive caught threadys before. Looked for fishy water and the sounder helped heaps.

yes, they do have decent size eyes though, maybe the lighter tone helps the lure stand out in Brisbane river water.

But those big finns do double up as sensors.

Well done pinkey, buggered if I could land one on a jackal a prong or a gulp shrimp.
