queensland Brisbane river-Gateway 24.03

Me and amate went out to the gateway on sat for some chill out fishin session. Not much live bait around the pontoon, so the smelly pilchards came out.

Floated some prawns around the gateway bridge pylons and hooked up a few little bream. Things went real quiet, except for the army of mosquitoes that were surrounding us, so we went to the next pylon where is heaps deeper. Through down a whole pilchard and hopeing something big would sniff it out. Not much happedned for the next 15 minutes, then the baitcaster went off and pointed towards the water. After nice little fight, i was only slightly disheartened to bring up a cattie. My personal best cattie mind you, id say about 3-4 kg. unforetunetly no photos of the night, as the water damage to my camera has caught up!

A big catty - that'd be about right - still a fish is a fish.

It doesn't give me much of a thrill thinking about meet and greet next weekend. I was thinking about doing the same but I might just rethink.
