Freshwater part of Kedron Brook

Hey guys, did a bit of exploring around Kedron Brook in stafford yesterday. Walked upstream from webster rode for a couple of hundred metres and found sound nice rocky outcrops and water pools. flicked a few lures but nothing seemed to be around. then walked downstream from webster road and floated bread out in front of some of the weirs. only attracted a bunch of small mullet and a small eel. has anyone come across anything more substantial in this creek before? tilapia, spangled perch, etc?

Mate as far as fishing goes in the kedron brook I dunno.. but after floods and stuff ive seen small bream/bass/mullet/tilapia/bass washed up on the grass.. so somewhere theres some fish lurking

Im in grange just near the webster road bridge actually.

there used to be some mullet about 5-10 year ago, i remember seeing 30cm ones around this area. Was little spangled perch, around 15-20cm. havent seen them for 5 years or so though.

There was some tilapia near the AFL field east of webster road 2 years ago, havent seen them since.

The creek is in a very poor state because they dredge up and down it all the time to keep mosquitoes from breeding.

If you went down to the toombul section where it is brackish you would still find some decent sized mullet there.

cool, thanks for the feedback guys. i guess the bottom line is that im probably better off walking down to enogerra/breakfast creek to wet a line rather than kedron brook (im about the same distance from both places, 15 mins walk)..

therer are also tandanus catfish- i have seen them and their nests.

Big Tilapia, Massive mullet, Huge eels and some good bream, have caught everything in there from flathead to cod, to bullrout and whiting its wierd lol. And this is in the fresh too.

I have fished under the bridge at webster road collecting eels for shark bait. Got about 4 big eels in an hour. There were also Tandanus Catfish and come big mullet there.

I have been told there are tilapia but have never seen any personally.
