spots to catch good size snapper

going fishing thursday want to know any spots around st helena or mud island for bait fishing i normaly use soft plastics around the river i want to go out further to catch bigger fish.

Good luck Stu -I say bay side of fishermans rocks with whole baby squid. I squid for the hook and one for the burley. NO weght, just float em.

If that doesn't work try the south eastern corner of Mud

Thanks Brian i will give the squid a go i normally fish the area of fishermans with plastics berkely 3\" minnow pearl blue or pearl watermelon does the trick for small snapper biggest one i got is 45cm using 1/16ounce jig head depends how the wind is out there.
