Jigging for livies

Hey All, heading out the brissie river mouth tomorrow night and want to try live bait, bought a cast net buts lets just say im still getting the hang of it..... :laugh: is there anywhere someone could recommend to gather a few livies on a jig near the mouth?

you land based or in a boat mate? if land based i think you may find it hard to find a jetty that is open to the public, but maybe there is one. happy to be corrected
