land based fishing around Hinze Dam

G'day all, first post here.

I'm taking the kids up to Hinze Dam for a picnic and a spot of fishing on Anzac day, will probably be using worms for the kids and have soft plastics and lures to try out myself.

Can anyone recommend a good spot either on the dam or below the weir on the Nerang worth trying?

Any help or tips gratefully appreciated.

Mate anywhere off the bank has the potential for bass.

Also using the worms your in with a shot at eel tail catties and yellowbelly.

I actually caught my first lure caught bass at Hinze. Its a great dam im sure the kids will love it.
