Talipia

Ok I've read in serveral parts of the forum that it's illegal to have talipia in your possestion

but what about fillets and dead frames on the bank ???

surely if you have just the fillets and if need be take the fisheries back to where you put the frames it should be ok

I ask because I've also read that they are good eating and if so should not the authorties encourage the taking / targeting of these vermin to try to rid our waterways of them and tell people how good they are to eat

I for one would target them  as I did with CARP in the Mighty Murray down south (Carp taste like shit but fight well in rivers :))

considering the low level of water and the durability of the tilapia to keep their young nourished even after the mother has died as they are mouth brooders i would fillet the fish and put the frames in the bins provided

i have read that the eggs held in the mouth can last up to six weeks on a dead breeder so i would not leave the fish on the banks at all
