Fail at Nudgee

Thirstyman and I went for a fish on Sunday at low tide on Nudgee Creek. Unfortunately, it was an extremely uneventful trip and we didnt catch a single thing.

We were on the bank, just down a path that runs along the top of the golf course there, and had four rods with us.

One rod went in with a soft lure, one in with prawn, the third went in with frozen mullet. Another bloke we were with threw in the cast net a couple of times and brought in a nice selection of live mullet so after half hour to an hour we thought "What the hell" and had all four rods in with a live mullet swimming freely.

Obviously frozen prawn and frozen mullet wasn't going to be as effective as a live bait, so we thought with four live mullet in we'd have a sure chance at catching something.

We were there for three hours over low tide and didn't catch a single thing, all our baits were even still intact.

What do reckon, we just had an off day or were we doing something wrong?
