queensland Canungra creek

Had a days fishing exploring the canungra area and it was a pretty good day out exploring. Only managed about 4 bass, nothing of any decent size to brag about but a good flow in the water and clarity has improved. Found a few spots to try out over summer so wasn't a wasted trip!

One thing to look out for is the snakes. Over my past 3 trips to various creek areas I have encountered 4 snakes, and thats in a metre vicinity of me. 1 carpet snake i think, 1 brown and 2 red bellies. This is the most ive encountered in my trips and it won't be the last.

So just everyone be very wary of whats out there when your trekking through scrub, I always look in front of me and if I hadnt of been paying attention, the brown and red belly would've had a crack at me for sure! I tend to walk through any long grass and thick bush to get to my spots so would have it coming sooner or later
