Brisbane Fishing Online hopes all members today will take time out to reflect on Remembrance Day. It allows us to take one minute from our increasingly busy lives to stop and contemplate the sacrifices that were made for us to live in the lucky country.

Remembrance Day or Poppy Day is held on the eleventh hour of November 11 which marks the ceasefire ending World War I, a war in which more than 60,000 Australian men were killed.

It has grown into an opportunity to remember all of our war dead and give thanks for the extraordinary freedoms they have secured for us.

We know some of our members have or are currently serving overseas and we would like to acknowledge the hard work and sacrifice they are doing. We at AFO are very grateful of their continuing efforts and those that have come before them.

Lest we forget.
