fishing oportunity at work - 74 floods!

FOund some old photos of the 74 floods at work, Enogerah Ck went from nothing to 4m over the banks in 1 hour.

Management would not let any leave when the water started to rise, so they had to evacuate everyone using this row boat!

The buildinga are all 2 storey, and no they did not get and Bull sharks, but just wait for next time!

Those were the days. Grade 5. Fishing at the bottom of our street. Plenty of structure in the water too:P

i was 11 and we stayed in a neighbours 2 story house as ours went under on the goldy. we were fishing off the front verandah in 4 foot of water useing snails that had crawled up the walls to get away fron the water.

we caught 4 eels and a mullet over the course of the 5 days we were stuck there.

I was in Ipswich and the water stopped 2 houses down. From memory - two small catties. The coast was obviously fishing better back then Jeff:P

I've got a 45 (black vinyl single) of John Sweeney (?) about the flood....hahaha....not much to sing about then.
