Finally the rain broke for a short time to hook up the boat and get down to deep water bend to try out the new 101 samurai. these are a few of the fish caught. not a bad way to break in the new rod.

first fish was this catfish

then a visit from fisheries patrol who would havbe thought they would be out on a rainy sunday afternoon. quick safety gear check and back into casting. this flathead came next

then i finished with some bream these are two of the better ones

the rod is has an extra fast action so i pulled the hooks on a few fish until i got used to it

the reel is a 1003 Luvis i have had it for a while nice little reel to match the rod

nice work mate. so they still hang around down therre, i went there about 2 year ago straight out from the boat ramp and drifted on the other side towards the bridge and we smashed it that day.
