Took my new shirt ,together with mate Laurie and 200 shrimp, on its inaugural to the western arm at the hinze this morning.

Notice SEQ water has been doing a bit of clearing upstream from the new western ramp. Looks fishy with some good banks and gullies.

Pulled up to do some bait fishing and Laurie immediately scored a 35cm bass and said that he wanted to take a couple home for a feed but this one is too small.

Big mistake turned it was the only legal fish of the day.

The procedure was catch a bass then lose innumerable shrimp to the banded grunter move and repeat the procedure.

Still better than catching gar and covered with mud from the redclaw pots.No way I can wear my NFO shirt at NPD.

It's still good to see a bass report come out of the dams Ray, by all accounts they have been pretty quiet.

is that all the clearing? Doesn't seam worth the effort, maybe thats what they thought to once they started. I wonder where the toga will show up?

Only other clearing done was at the site of the old cattle dip near the intake tower on the eastern arm. They had to dig up around an acre,remove soil and cap it with clay and stone.

They say its too dangerous ( read expensive and no saleable timber)to remove timber elsewear.
