Fishing behind Old Petrie Town

Guys,

had a search but came up with nothing on fishing behind old petrie town.

just trying to find out what the go is when fishing down there. i know that if i follow the track on the first left it takes me down to the river.

My question is do they shut the gates at a particular time? and is it ok to drive down there and have a fish?

any help would be good

search for "pumping station" and u might get a few reports on that area.
