Hi Guys, an early knock off saw me out again this afternoon, small Tailor on the flats north of Crab Island but nothing to write home about.

Went for a troll to see if the Hairtail were still there, only got one.

But a damn good one, 155cm is the best measurement i can come up with, it was nearly as wide as my boat.cheers wayne

but the length they are u would get an okay fillet off never tried them myself well never caught one myself but are appartently meant to be good on the chew

Thanks guys, Dan25, they fight reasonably well, they can actually swim in reverse which makes things interesting when you want to land them.

Dansike, they are supposed to taste ok, we release all ours, to scarce and ugly to kill, cheers wayne

Well done! That's an amazing looking fish. That chrome must hurt the eyes! I didn't think they were found anywhere else outside the Hawkesbury system.
