Been doing a bit of fishing off the rocks lately and keen for another session this weekend.

At this stage planning to hit up Point Cartwright near Mooloolaba Saturday morning at Sunrise.

If anyone is keen let me know, hoping for some Tailor, Trev's or anything else that comes along !!

Cheers, Manni

THANKS Kurt !! this helps !!

Pretty much was going to walk the whole point and spend the morning there.

What's it like there when the tide is coming up, is it still ok to fish there or does the water crash over the rocks quite alot ?

Going at Sunrise so about 2/3 hours before high tide

its is ok on the nthern facing side of the point as it is protected by the sth-east swell, providing it is small. i have fished the area mainly half way through the out going tide through to to about half way up. you will loose afew jigs to overhangs, caves ect. as for the high, it is fishable, you just need to make longer casts and watch the waves more closly. if all else fails kings beach caloundra is good for the same thing or you can hit the boat harbour for bream and trevs
