Mate Boab aren't that pricey if you get a few of you and all split the cost. They have all the gear on them and you get a boat that you can go anywhere in for a full day. We did it with 4 of us and it was pretty good. Picked the boat up the night befor they run you through the basics and were on the water early and droped the boat back just on dark. I thought it was good value. ;)

BOAB ave great boats but Id have a look at brisbane boat hire in the valley, they are really easy to get along with, really flexable, have a good range of boats. We hired off them once a while ago as a mate wanted to do an offshore trip, the weather turned foul and w came back eary and even though we werent expectin anything he gave us half our hire back in the form of a voucher to use on the next hire.. thats pretty good.. Prices start at $220 for 24 hours on a 4.1 tinny with a 40hp through to about $390 for the semi luxury half cab ( i should get a commission for this haha)
