Ballina fishing

Hey guys im going down to Ballina in a couple of weeks to go camping and fishing with a few mates. I have a tinny thats good for the river and was wondering if anyone knew anywhere good to go fishing? Not asking for secret spots. Just where we could catch something for dinner. Any suggestions on whats out there to catch and what bait to use would be great.

I just brought a my tinny and am looking forward to use it with my mates.

all the sand banks goin good for flattys and whiting.. the surface action starting to hot up now ... plenty of options in lower river mate from deep rock walls to shallow sand banks ... my fav is top water in the shallows, be it sand rock or weed beds ... some school jew around on live herings which can be jigged up at the back of the police station ..

Will do mate. We have booked the 7th and 8th of december. Will probably troll around and go for a bit of an explore. My boat has one of those electric motors on the front of it so will do a bit of slow sight seeing and trolling. Will shoot you a pm closer to the time.
