bait fish from brekky creek

Im cast netting from a plontoon near the mouth of the brekky creek after prawns and i am getting thousands of these bait fish. I dont have a pic but they look like small herring but with a greenish back. Anyone know what they are and if there good bait????? thanks in advance

have they got teeth? they could be baby tailor! if they are you need to get them back in the water asap

but they are probally just a different species of herring

Mate we always get a lot of herring there.

WE catch both Salmon and Bullies on them! So chuck one on live and see how you go
