Haven't been doing much fishing since my trip with keen as and viper at the Albert.Managed a couple of quick arvo sessions on the way home from work though but no kayak trips. The water at my local had stopped flowing for the first time this year after the flods and a coulpe of follow up fairly descent rises. I didn't think there would be much around as the water gets a scummy stagnet look about it when it slows down and stops flowing. But to my surprise there was still a few fish around.

first trip pulled this one onb a beetle spin

Second session got these two on a lure which has had no success in the past then lost the lure soon after.

The silver smashed it as soon as it hit the water.

the next fish was from the same session he completly swollowed my soft plastic.

The third session produced these three the last 2 would be a little over 40cm each and fought well.

Can't wait for the weather to settle down a bit the rapids should be firing again with spinner baits. Hopefully some new fish will come down with the extra flow and make my local there new home.

On another note I got a good deal from a fellow AFOer on a daylight sport8 kayak for my eldest son. Hopeing to have a few posts up with him joining me out on some trips in the near future once the weather calms down he seems verry eager to go.
