Shoal Bay - May 2012

We spent a few weeks in Shoal Bay back in May. Did a bit of plastic flicking along they bay. I landed 5 legal flatties, the biggest 2 went 57 and 62 cm. The flatties were all on 4 inch Power Minnows. Also landed a numbfish, on a clear 5 inch PowerBait of some variety. Few piccies below.

This is the second biggest one, 57 cm. Every single one I caught was nicely hooked in the top lip:

The numbfish! Clear 5 inch placcy I caught it on in my hand. Might be a PowerBait of some variety too:

A face only a mother could love! At least I didn't get zapped with this one (I wasn't so lucky with the first one I caught...):

Is that the same as Shoalwater Bay ?

EDIT: Shoal Bay is in the Port Stephens area, kinda on the coast from Newcastle.

I love shoal Bay.

Spent many a holiday there when i was younger for the game fishing comp.

And many an afternoon live baiting off the rocks in the mental asylum.
