Offshore Moreton 26-8-12

Finally got a look offshore on Sunday thanks to John from outlaw charters. We had a later start to the day 0900 and headed for the bar which was nearly non existent and then headed north to a spot that had been producing earlier that week. John starts by giving us a quick lesson on how to float line for snapper and as a true pro first line in the water and bang first snapper is hooked and boated. after our second drift we had our bag limit and now it was just a matter of upgrading. We landed a few bonitos and macks through out the day and a small black took a snapper on the way up, that fight didn't last long ;) . No real big horses from the day with the biggest going around the 60cm mark but the smallest around the 50cm mark was an awesome day out with John and i would recommend it to anyone looking for a taste of offshore or to fine tune some tricks. we were back at the ramp by 4 and the bar was FLAT coming back in. Looking forward to heading out again :)

Cheers Pete
