Fish ID

Hey guys,

Can you confirm for me what this fish is. I got him on whole pillie on a 3 gang off Inskip Beach about a week ago. The second pic shows how big it was. I wasn't sure what it was so he went back unharmed and swam away strongly. I wasn't expecting much so didn't have a brag mat with me so didn't get to measure it but I am 172cms tall and this bloke had to be 120 at least.

It was pitch black so didn't see any acrobatics but I could hear a fair bit of splashing around out there.

biggest giant herring i've ever seen, get them around the pimpama river from time to time but nothing like that. top effort mate.
