queensland Fishing Near Brisbane

I am new to the site and everybody seems very helpful on here so I was hoping to get some good advice from someone on whereto fish that is quite close to Brisbane but still coastal areas. I am going out with a mate and we are hoping to chase some bream and whiting, but are just stuck for ideas on where to go. Whereever we go the fish just dont seem to be biting. Some good advice would be greatly appreciated.

In all seriousness I have had success catching fish at Redcliffe, Woody Point jetty (although I've gone off jetty's now) and Shorncliffe. All tidal but into the bay not open ocean. Depends where you are but north side I think you really need to go to Woorim on Bribie Island for open ocean shore fishing or even further up the coast.

Bream anywhere along the banks of the river. try the Botanic Gardens in the city, or Clomslie Recreation Reserve further downstream.
