Went into fingal up at the point (where theres the beachy inlet and the pumping station) and a couple of blokes wer leavin who claimed their catch fpr the night by about 8:30 was just a couple of bream.

i dont know if they were doin somthing wrong but about 10 minutes after they left and i was setup in came some pretty decent flathead average of 10-14cms over size reg so a nice tasty size these were brought it with a lure simply fishing just past where the waves were breaking where the lizards should have been awaiting tasty morsels swimming off the shallower water.

5 flathead total.

walked over to the pumping station and stood on the pier thing and cast out fairly close to the rocks with a sinker that should have just been enough to pull the bait on down and let the current do the work in taking my line out some more 40cm trace and either pillie chunks or prawn didnt matter the bream were biting fast. between myself and 2 others we brought in 15 and threw 4 back.

drove back down fingal head road about halfway back towards the main road where you turn onto fingal road and began throwing some sp's around for fun around some sandbanks, never having any luck with sp's before we were dubious as to whether anything would bite.

but some internet research this week on their proper usage paid off and we got another 6 flathead in total, having already achieved a nice pile of fish for todays feast/bbq with some friends we kept 1 each as \"trophies\" of our first successfull sp run.

we were going to stop near the casino and seaway....but after the luck at fingal... home we went.

fished last night between ~8:45 - 4am this morning wild night....recommended spot atm
