Any help fishing S/P and hard body lures landbased bribie

Am new to lure fishing and chasing some advice

eg. Type of lures technique and maybe spots around the bribie island area

And I will be fishing landbased

I reckon the easiest way to catch something on a lure is by soft plastic.

1. Any sort of plastic but maybe start off with some 2 inch gulp with a matching jighead (jighead weight depends on the current) + fluorocarbon leader try 6lb.

2. Walk along the edge of the water and cast as far into the water as possible or places which look like ambush spots.

3. Let the plastic sink to the bottom then hop it back to you.

4. Repeat steps 2-3 and your bound to catch a Flathead or two.
