Harpengs Rd

Considering heading up stream tomorrow for a bit of a flick from the yak. I was just wondering if anyone has been up towards Harpengs Rd ( Lowood area ) Fishing Lately, And if so are things back to normal yet??

It should be getting close but we were up at savages last week and it was still flowing pretty fast and Milan has been out to colleges this morning and said it is still flowing fast there too I tend to think it will be fishable up there.

I seems that way... like you just look at the water and think 'how could there be anything in there'!? (besides bloody logs and rubbish!!!)

I fished near the weir on locker creek on Friday. there was still a lot of water coming over the weir. we only caught catfish.

Yeah that o'rielys weir is full of cattys. I think the river up there is fishing rather well. Plenty of rat bass all taken right near the edge. I went there this morning after visiting fernvale markets and it was ok. Iam using black TT's.

the black pipeline at colleges produces regular catches of 35 cm models.

This rain will create a lot more flow and it is a worth while the trip on foot to walk up from kholo there is good eddies and reasonable sized areas of still water close to the edges I found these slower flowing pockets of water are holding heaps of catties. If you can get past the catties iam getting bass. Using. Darker shade TT blade.
