queensland Cairns Fishing Spots?

Hey guys, I'm on the road travelling around at the moment and have just pulled up at Palm Cove in Cairns for a few nights before making our way up to Port Douglas and a few other spots. Just wondering if any of the Cairns locals could point me in the right direction of any creeks or good spots to camp whilst I'm up here?

Have just came from Karumba where the fishing was tough to say the least so I'm looking to redeem myself!

I have a 3.5m rooftopper with a 15hp but also don't mind a bit of land based action!

Hey mate I'm in WA at the moment but should be home on the weekend. If you are still around was thinking of going and getting a barra for the bbq on sunday night if your keen to come and get one.

I get home tonight, if the weather is ok might do a barra corner session tomorrow as have a bbq to go to on saturday night so a jack, fingermark, or barra will be fair game to come to the bbq with me. Will let you know if the weather is good

Well I'm moving on down to mission beach and slowly making my way down the coast line back to brissy. Cheers for the invite to join you for a fish, pity it didn't work out but I do appreciate you inviting a stranger out to wet a line!

Cairns is a beautiful place you guys should consider yourself very lucky, il be back for a visit again soon!
