Gopro Hero 3 Black Edition advice

My family's getting a Gopro Hero 3 black edition and I was just wondering what people think of them? Also where would be the best place to get a good deal? Mainly going to be using it for surface fishing in the creeks. Very keen to record a few surface strikes and get a few underwater release shots.

Absolute unreal camera! Deffinetly the best mini cam around and is fine for all types of fishing. I'd profferably get it off ebay

Hey mate,

GoPro's are awesome cameras, but being an electrical product, I'd make sure it's purchased in Australia so if anything goes wrong, you've got an Australian warranty. They are a pretty standard price where ever you shop (In Australia) and most shops are happy to match a cheaper advertised price.

Consider before you buy if you really need to film in cinema quality, thats the only real difference between black and silver edition (unless you have a computer that has a massive graphics card you wont be able to play it or edit it in those high quality formats anyway).

Thanks for all the helpful tips guys! I'll let you know where we end up getting it. We are going to get it from a shop rather than online to make it easier if we ever have any warranty issues.

Make sure you read up on the many issues they can have and how to deal with/ rectify them.

Photo continental have the black for $455.00 but any jb hifi will match or if you're lucky better that price.
