Hey guys,

Has anyone been catching heaps of red claw?

The reason I ask is, in the September school holidays we are doing a "camping day" with the kids.

This will simply involve setting up tents, orienteering, knot tying, stretcher making and basic first aid etc. One of the highlights, I am hoping, will be cleaning and cooking a red claw or two for lunch.

I will endevour to get out myself and may be able to get some from Sports Tuition but just wanted to throw it out there in case anyone has a surplus closer to the date.

September holidays fall from 23rd September to 5th October 2013 and the camping day has been programmed for the 23rd.

They are not plentiful at NPD may pick up as weather warms.

If you can scrounge an old wading pool, letting the kids catch them with the old meat on a stick would also keep them amused!

I've been catching a few, but not enough to even bother keeping them for a feed. as Ray said, been scarce last year or two on NPD.
