Sorry but not familiar with this rod but after something for the beach. How heavy of a lure can I cast with this rod? I assume that I can match this with a 4000 reel? Is this light-weight?

hey tec, im sorry i shouldve mentioned this is a low mount reel seat, so more designed for an alvey reel.

but if your in the market for a surf rod to suit that style of fishing at a good price, head into FTO and i have a range of rod there that would suit lure throwing and also your 4000 reel.
