A Few Fish From Last Weekend

With the good forecast last weekend we decided to head offshore in seach of some reefies and deep water fish.

It was a 3 day trip but after 2 days we were full so we decided to stay the third day just to look for new ground for future trips and to burn off the excess fuel that we were carrying.

It was a great trip in the end with some real quality fish caught.2016-05-15 13.40.22.jpg2016-05-16 16.12.00.jpg2016-05-15 12.49.55.jpg2016-05-15 11.38.15.jpg2016-05-16 17.00.28.jpg2016-05-17 15.56.42.jpg2016-05-17 12.49.02.jpg2016-05-16 13.37.08.jpg2016-05-16 15.36.48.jpg2016-05-16 15.36.38.jpg2016-05-16 12.14.01.jpg2016-05-15 10.35.05.jpg

Awesome haul of fish there Lance, well done! Where did you leave from if you don't mind my asking (ie. Brisbane, Sunshine Coast, etc). Would have been some big grins when the triple header popped up!!  Bl00dy big pearlies - are they related to the WA Dhufish?  Look similar (bar the white stripes) as they get bigger.

We catch them anywhere from 180m out to 300m @Angus

It was the best trip ever Mark for quality fish.

We had 3 aj's and the rest of the catch was all premium fish.

We also were lucky to jag very high market prices on all species so a ripper trip turned out even better in the end.

pardon my ignorance...was this a commercial fishing trip? or are rec anglers able to sell their catch somewhere.. ive always wondered about that.
