queensland Pinkenba Rock Wall

Hi guys can anyone tell me where the pinkenba rock wall is, have tried to find it on google and google maps, getting mixed info.

It is on the north side of the river, starting from just near the mouth of Boggy Creek and then up river towards the boat ramp at Pinkenba.  If you intend to fish here at the moment you might want to catch and release only, thanks to the QANTAS chemical spill in the week before Easter. Test results are still not available.

Okay cool, so would I park at the boat ramp? Not intending on keeping any fish out of the river for a while after the spill.

Not sure mate. I have only been there by water, but I think there must be some access further downstream from the ramp because I see people on the wall between the wharf near the ramp and the petrol refinery and I don't think you could walk through those wharves.

The port is currently pumping sand onto land north of the wharves, but BP security will chase you as access to the cleared area is via BP entry road.

I'm guessing you are accessing by foot?

Park at the Pinkenba boat ramp, and from the top of the ramp walk towards the mouth along the wall there. It's a good km of walking and like mentioned above, sometime the BP guys will tell you to get lost if there is a ship pulled up at the wharf.

 

If you are talking about the sunken wall that you get to by boat, it's pretty much in line with that wall but further along.
