fishing from the shore

i love my fishing. however i no longer have a boat:( . im struggling to find some fishing spots from the shore. if anyone could message me with some ideas of spots round brisbane and gold coast that may have some good fishing. any suggestions would be greatful. thanx guys

Depends what kind of fish you want to catch. And what techniques you use. Lures or bait?

mainly baits and plastics. i will pretty much fish for anything

For lures, Shultz' Canal near the Brissie airport is pretty good. A few good Bream, Cod, Flathead and sometimes Mangrove Jacks in there despite the rubbish.

Nudgee Beach and Creek are also alright and some good reports have come from there in recent times.

That's all I can say as I'm in Brisbane, but I'm sure some people who live or have lived on the GC will know more about that area.

Hey man

My cousins live on the back of tellabudgera creek on the ature reserve side and we get tonnes of great bream around there. Really deep water coming off oyster rocks. Try and walk through the nature reserve, flays i tink tis called and onto the beach around there.

Or the mouth to the creek off the breakwall is always fun
