north pine river restrictions?

Hi all

So my son returns from his first day back at school with info from his mate, who lives at Dohles Rocks. His mate reckons the Government "are putting a net in the North Pine River to help restock". Of course this sounds unbelievable but are they extending the Woody Point green zone or anything? I've been short on a catch whenever I've gone there recently anyway.

On both counts I think it is wrong.

North Pine is unrecoverable with releases from North Pine Dam scouring the river bottom to rock every half a dozen years.

Woody Point Green Zone has no real structure nearby worthy of protecting or worth the costs to rezone.

The next real greenzone worthy location would be between the Redcliffe Aerodrome creek and Deception Bay / Rothwell.
