This is going to take me awhile as i have to go out soon. But the cook and myself found ourselves looking at a nice morning today so thought we'd take advantage of the weather and head to the bay. Does anyone know what this fish is? [img size=384]http://www.australianfishing.com.au/media/kunena/attachments/legacy/images/pic_1.JPG

Nice one Master. The shovellys provide some good fun:woohoo: That's the same type (with the white spots) I caught on Saturday (similar size too.

Bet you would have liked to have caught what the ramora was sucking on before it got on your line;) :woohoo: The cook may have had good reason to get the toes away then. hehehe

The reef shark is the same as what my missus caught on Saturday too. Were you fishing the same spot as we were ?:S  :silly: :P

Captain, we did fish the east and west side of the island with not much luck except this the wife caught.. pic to follow.

We didn't keep him, did consider it but too much meat for us.

Rocket, was going toe to toe with him for a good 30 minutes.

We fished Between Peel and Macleay and around Rainbow Channel. Caught 3 of them small sharks at the marks I posted last week.

Missy's small squire couldn't get him in the boat fast enough... lol [img size=403]http://www.australianfishing.com.au/media/kunena/attachments/legacy/images/mums_bird.JPG

Stu, I'd rather go broke fishing than sitting at home;) . Back to work tomorrow. Don't worry the rains been hurting the back pocket :( [img size=404]http://www.australianfishing.com.au/media/kunena/attachments/legacy/images/small_pic_red_fish.JPG

some type of Gernard I am guessing, that area of the Bay has plenty of wierd and wonderful stuff. I have caught, Snaps, Sharks, a few types of Sweeties, Slate Bream, Tailor, Macks, Mack Tuna and this thing. Its a Fringe Eyed Flathead..

Its going to be a sad day if we loose this area to Green Zones [img size=500]http://www.australianfishing.com.au/media/kunena/attachments/legacy/images/Flattie_Peel_AFO.jpg

I have seen those fringe eyes before. Great looking fish!

Well done master. Apparantly the spotted shovelies are the good ones.
