Hi guys been looking for some threads on putting in casting decks and false floors into the tinnie, Found this thread.

It shows step by step process, I think this is one of the better ways of putting in a casting deck or false floor purely because its easy to do and its bloody strong.

Dunno what the fascination is with casting decks, I am quite happy to stand on the floor of the boat, on the odd occasion I want a bit more flexibility I stand on the seat!

Reckon it's got a bit to do with clearing the clutter to underneath it Feral, but I'm like you. The interior depth aids in stability when leaning and thrusting the crotch over the side when it's a bit choppy;) :laugh:

i allways thought casting decks were a bit of a pose unless you were sightfishing flats then the height gives you a better angle to see into the water

They do help when working lures with the rod such as being more elevated pointing the rod tip down towards the water when working them.I think it creates a better working platform especialy when casting all day in comps.
