fished for the threadys today, weather was perfect, overcast, no wind, good tide and good bait but didnt get one run at all:(

Nice cattie man.. me and planetfonz were fishing at jindalee last weekend and caught a huge cattie like that.. weird.. it was night time and it took a live prawn..

That's a fair sized catfish.

You must have taken just as long to catch the fish as to remove the catfish slime off your brag mat!

What baits do you normally use for threadies? (if you don't mind sharing with the rest of us!)

just started trying to get them on lures hopefully be a report on saturday but the threadys ive cuaght so far have been on netted prawns from the river, fresh banana prawns from seafood places dont seem to tempt them as much as the prawns from the river. lives always better aswell

Yeah the vast majority of threaddies I have seen caught in the river have been on live prawns or herring.

However lures seem to getting more and more as people suss them out.
