logan threadys?

I was just wondering has anyone ever caught any threadys inthe logan river?

Ive seen a few pics of threadys caught in the logan, there deffenetly there. Infact i remember a report on here of someone getting a medium sized one in his castnet.

I was fishing near some snags with livies one night near a deep hole in the logan catching heaps of cattys and small rays ,then got slammed by something big and real fast. initially it ran away from the snags and for the hole. To me this ruled out a big jak as it would have beelined straight for the snags.after losing some line and just about locking up the drag on my abu 6500, i turned it and could tell it was something heavy, big mistake . it ran straight back towards me just as fast past my tinnie and then i felt it burying itself head first into another set a different set of snags and snap! i could have cried. i have always thought it might have been a jewy but maybe could have been a thready... but i guess ill never know.

Logan River jew by the sounds of it as I have had the same sort of experience!! Theres some monster fish in there!!

me too 20lb was no match on several occasions:(

I was using 20lb braid and 2mtrs of 60lb leader. At the time I thought it was a bit of overkill..... it wasn't.

I've caught one a few years back, it was only about 25cm though, thought it was a cattie at first
