where to fish on the calm side at bribie

im looking for more info for bribie fishing

ive fished buckleys a few times and had no luck under teh bridge

i honestly had more luck fishing of the jetty with the kids last winter we cleaned up on whiting and bream

it was a good week end

so any tips would be good

I'm in the same situation as you there mate.

Was up there today, in a tinny for not a touch, not even much on the sounder, whilst the only other time I've fished there was landbased off the southern side of the island & I ended up doing much better!

next time i go up it will be for the fishing comp so im going to go to where i pump yabbies on the way to ningi creek i think there has to be flattys and stingers and shovel nose there hunting for fresh yabbies

ive seen a couple of tracks there when i was there last time

mouth of ningi creek has a few parrot there at the moment...and always good for lizards:)

bribie in my opinion is a very hard nut to crack!!i think its also fished out too but there must be some secrets to the spots...usually old timers know all the secrets..look for them on the water

Mate id head a little further north, try form donnybrook north, Always done well in glassy creek and around mission point. and even better in husseys and Coochin creek, loads of good Lizards,Jacks,Cod, Jew Whiting etc, just need to find a couple of spots thats all. if you want a couple of good spots to try around Coochin way let me know, or anyone for that matter fished it for 10 years knoe every bit of it

im entering the bribie fishing comp and wanna look for good spots but i love fishing donneybrook i fished there when i was a kid but not recently

but i have had no luck at bribie apart from fishing off the bongaree jetty of alll places
