buying a kayak

Sorry if I dredge up old information. I have looked through the old kayak section posts but couldn't find too much information from people who buy a kayak for father/son trips.

I looked at a Viking Tempo today and the guy said he goes out in his with his son who is about the same age as my boy (9 1/2). He even had some pics of the two fishing tingalpa creek in his.

I understand the problems of getting a two person kayak so thought the tempo was a very good option in my price range because he was quoting $1000 brand new.

As the shop is still not working here Angus would you be able to let me know the price from AFO? Thanks mate.

I am interested in hearing everyones opinions so please post your thoughts.

Did he have the young fella sitting in the back well? Its probably big enough but might be a bit cramped for any length of time.

The pic was taken buy him with his son in the front. His son was on at the time as well if I remember correctly. He was very good with his information as we talked for about 45 minutes.

Some of the regular yak guys might know him. He works at Pro Catch tackle shop.
