queensland Short report NPD 8/1/09

Arrived at Forgans around 4.30 and made the mistake of putting on my waders before walking down to water. By the time I reached the long grass near the toilet I was knakered.

Reached the water and soon after I started casting my first spinnerbait Rocket arrived. We started working the bank under ideal conditions. Nice and humid and overcast with not a breath of wind.

I had one hit almost at my feet but no hook up.

Then lost my first spinnerbait to the long grass.

Replaced it with another and moved along a bit and I got another hit and brought the fish to just in front of me where it spat the hook. I got a glimpse of it and estimated it at low 30's.

That was about it knocked off and moved on to my next destiation.

bloody bass, don't they know that conditions were ideal...oh well, that's 3 donuts in a row at NPD for me:(

Good to see the waders on, I spoke to Ray and let him know there are some bities in the water. I did not wear mine the other day and now have 3 large red blotchs on my legs. Maybe sandflies,spiders or as Ive been told maybe duck lice.
