boggy creek 11/3/07

hi everyone, decided to go for a fish at boggy creek this arvo as i havent been up that way for awhile, arrived at 2pm just as the tide was turning. wasn't a big tide today only 1.9m and this evenings low was about 0.90 so there wasn't any run at all which wasn't the best as i find the fishing is quiet when there is no run.

Anyway i spent the first half hour flicking my hb's that i got off ebay to see how they looked and after about 15min i got slammed:woohoo: but it took me straight into a log  so i waited let some more line out but it wasnt going anywhere and i lost it. i have never pulled in a fish on a hb before as this is only the 3rd time ive used them. Dont know what it was but i did see a silver flash just as it took me into the logs. maybe a big bream.

That was the only action i got so switched over to the frozen prawns which created an hour of non stop action:) the next hour i caught 11 bream all of them between 15-22cm. not big but i swear the smaller ones put on just as much fight as the bigger ones.

just as i was about to leave something half decent slammed the bait aswell at this stage i was certain it was a bream. once again it headed straight for that dam log but this time i got it out and to my surprise it was a 29cm flounder (sole) i didnt have a clue what the legal size is for them so i released it to fight another day.

It was a productive couple of hours even though there was no size to them, my total tally was

11 bream (15-22cm)

1 flounder (29cm)

2 catfish

1 squire 12cm :)

cheers troy!! [img size=320]http://www.australianfishing.com.au/media/kunena/attachments/legacy/images/11_03_07_1455.jpg

Another advantage of the Ebay lures - at $2 a pop no need to go swimming to get them back!
