with a promosing forecast of wind warnings among other warnings mick and myself headed out for something big.

there is something exciting about setting lures in 300m of water from a tinny. I worked 2-300m mostly but got as deep as 500m, out there the water drops off fast not much further its over 1000, the 250m areas produces the 3 strikes for the trip, as usual the life is in a small puddle you have to find that in all that ocean.

the first strike brought in a large wahoo, fought down deep and came up a lovely purple colour but quickly faded.

the next hit was serious blue marlin, real practically smoked but the hooks fell out on that run. not long after anther one jumped on and we lost it to pulled hooks as well, how they get off razor sharp twin game hook rigs is anyones guess.

the weather came up wild after that several hours of chopped up ocean the price to pay.
