Land Based High Speed Spinning, Brisbane Area

Hello Chaps!

After the disappointment of not getting outside last weekend for some HSSing and having bought a bunch of metal slugs AND not even used my UK 6:1 spinning reel, I was wondering if it is worth doing some HSSing in the Brizzy River or off Wynnum etc. What sort of speed do I retrieve? Do I go crazy ape sh*t or is this not needed on a 6:1, or is it a case of mixing it up and finding what works? All advice welcome.
