Seaway and Off Gold Coast

Hunter

Recommended Posts

Just thinking about heading out the seaway tomorrow and doing some fishing on the close reefs, probably not pasted the 18's. Only been out the Seaway a few times so wanted some thoughts on conditions tomorrow. I will be in a 4.5 mtr tinnie.

Seabreeze is saying 10knots from SE about 2m swell. However Willy is showing only a .9 mtr swell tomorrow. So its a bit hard to read.

Any thoughts?

0630 is high tide on the seaway so the best time to cross any coastal bar or seaway is while the tide is still running in or slack water and the tides are starting to get bigger so my suggestion would be to cross early just after 6am while you have light enough to see the conditions. the gold coast should be good on sunday so good luck and remeber if it isn't safe enough have plan b and fish the seaway or broadwater
