Hi

I have noticed that this site has been running slow on my computer so I checked the performance graphs in the windows Task manager.

When you view this site the pc cpu is maxed out and does not change,it stays at 100%.

Click on another tab for any other sites and it instantly drops down to a few percent.

Something seems horribly wrong with this software to hog 100% of a 3 gig CPU the entire time.

Heres some screen shots of the cpu graph.

The pic shows first half refreshing other sites and the last half using AFO with no refreshing at all,its flatlined at 100%

This image shows Bfo then switching to other tabs and then back to AFO again.Each time on AFO the CPU is fully maxed out.

I can tell you how to fix it!

Dont use firefox anymore, Its a Usage raper!

I just did it for mine and only got a max of 23%

I run opera (browser)

And by the sounds of it your CPU is better then mine. If you still got internet explorer try that and see if firefox is the problem.

Firefox isn't the drama. It is a slow CPU!

Using latest FF here on a wimpy laptop, only sitting on 20% viewing AFO.

We are constantly trying to improve the code and also the hosting arrangement. Its a tough battle with time, effort and cost.

3.6.11 at work, and think I have 3.6.12 at home (different OS though)

And interestingly 1-2% from IE6 (yeah IE) on my Win XP work box. Will test from my Win7 home machine when I can

FF 4.0 Beta 6 is using a massive 2% on my work laptop just viewing normally. occasionally spikes to 5% when I start typing in this window though, and 50% when I hit post.

The website has now moved to a new server and also has the forum and community sections upgraded. The layout of the site has also been optimised so that the site is now performing extremely well.
