queensland Peregian Beach - Pitta Street - 15-07-06

Well went up to Coolum for the weekend.

Gave my uncle a call and he informed me the Bream were biting around Pitta at Peregian Beach. So we organised to meet at 9:00am and fish the incoming tide.

We did the pippi shuffle for a few minutes to aquire bait (to high for worming), and we were off.

We must have been just a little to late for a sweet session.

I caught 2 bream in 2 casts and thought to myself \"This could be a Wallaby Vs South Africa style Score\", (na just joking tha game had yet to played).

But then for the next hour not a bite! My uncle had no better success.

Oh well, two Bream are not a complete failer.

The larger one went 32cm so it was a nice little fight.

Later that afternoon John Petrie, Beccy and I tried the rocks at Coolum.

This only gave me 3 undersize fish (2 dart and a Tarwhine)

and Johnny got a crab!

All in all a good weekend considering the weather was far from in my favour.

Angus try the groin at noosa main beach, it should be fishing really well now for tailor. Ive seen some great fish caught off there.

Yeah Dave stayed at Noosa every holiday for the first 15 years of my life.

Sometimes up to 4 weeks at chrissy.

I know the groin back to front!

I still keep my two alveys for my two surf rods.

It would not feel right usng anythin else

nice fish mate... pitty you couldnt nail yourself some more.... how can you catch 2 undersized dart when dart have no limit??? so really you finished the day with 4 legal fish and because your such a niceguy you let the 2 biggest ones go... am i right??

oh and i saw some footage of dart caught in the surf on a new dvd i bought... and the surf rods really do bend! :woohoo:

i hate darts, they annoy me i caught hundreds last year at straddie, we so should have kept them for shark bait.

when i go to straddie i got a good shark spot im keen to try and it s not ammity, and theres millions of dart around so we have the bait thing covered

do you know where it is??? surf side or clam side??? is it cylinder beach or point look out... lookout is good for sharking so ive heard... and cylinder has many dart and is a nice spread out beach...
